How does Dropkyd make money?+
We take the higher of ₹150 or 42% of gross margin (retail − base cost − logistics) per unit — the ₹150 floor keeps low-margin drops viable. No cap, no tiering, no subscription, no setup fee. GST is included in the retail the buyer pays and remitted onward; payment-gateway fees come out of our cut.
How do I see what I'll make on a drop?+
The calculator on studio.dropkyd.com/pricing (and inside the product-creation flow) shows per-unit take, monthly, and annualised — including refund + promo overheads. Every scenario is a sharable URL.
When do creators get paid?+
Every Friday at 18:00 IST. NEFT to bank or UPI. Payout statements are auto-generated and available in your dashboard.
Can other creators see my numbers?+
Never. Your earnings are between you and your account manager. Even our admin dashboard hides per-creator revenue from anyone outside finance.
How are refunds handled?+
If a refund is on us (misprint, lost in transit, our error) we eat the cost. If it's a buyer-initiated return for size/style, your earnings on that unit reverse out of the next Friday's payout. The dashboard shows it line-by-line.
Design service
What's the design service?+
₹9,999 for 5 print-ready designs from our in-house studio. Brief call, moodboard, up to 3 revisions per design. You own the files forever.
What if I don't love the designs?+
We add +3.5% on every sale until the ₹9,999 is recovered, and you keep the files. No 'creative differences' refunds to chase — the design pack pays for itself out of sales.
Can I bring my own designer?+
Yes. Upload print-ready artwork (PSD/AI/PNG/SVG, 300 DPI) in the product-creation flow. We DPI-check before printing and flag anything that won't reproduce cleanly.
Production & scheduling
How long from design upload to drop?+
Print-on-demand: live the same day. Limited runs: 7 days from approved sample to drop date. Drop slots run Fri 18:00 IST.
Can I schedule a drop for a specific date?+
Yes — schedule from the dashboard. Subscribers get a 10-minute head start over the public link the moment it goes live.
Where are products made?+
Cotton + cut & sew in Tirupur. Screen + DTG printing in Bengaluru. Packing in Whitefield. Quality-checked before dispatch.
Drops & limited editions
What's a 'limited drop'?+
A capped-quantity release. Once the cap is hit, the drop is sold out. We don't restock unless the creator explicitly schedules a re-drop.
How does the waitlist work?+
Drop a scheduled product into your cart's waitlist. We text you 10 minutes before it goes live — head start over non-subscribers.
Why Friday 6pm?+
Maximises the notification window before the weekend and aligns with creators' content schedules.
