1. When refunds apply
- Item returned within the 7-day window and QC passes.
- Order cancelled before dispatch.
- Item lost in transit (replacement OR refund, your call).
- Manufacturing defect (printed wrong, stitched wrong, wrong size shipped).
- Drop cancelled by us — full refund within 24 hours.
2. Refund channels & timelines
- UPI — 1–3 business days.
- Net banking — 3–5 business days.
- Credit / debit card — 5–7 business days (your bank's RBI window).
- Razorpay wallets — within 24 hours.
- Cash on Delivery — refunded to your bank account on request (5 business days) or as Dropkyd store credit instantly.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method by default. Razorpay handles the rail; we don't take possession of your money — we only release it.
3. Partial refunds
If you return part of a multi-item order, you'll receive a partial refund for that item including its share of shipping. If you used a promo code, the discount is recalculated against the remaining order.
4. The ₹100 reverse-pickup fee
Returns made for "changed my mind" reasons (size and colour exchanges are free; defects are free) carry a ₹100 reverse-pickup fee, deducted from your refund. This covers the courier's actual cost.
5. Refunds + Dropkyd points
Points awarded on the original purchase are reversed proportionally when you get a refund. If you've already spent them, the points balance can go negative and is paid down on your next order.
6. Bank-declined / failed refunds
If your bank rejects the refund (closed account, wrong details), Razorpay notifies us within 7 business days. We'll reach out for an alternate method or wire it via NEFT to a bank account you specify.
7. Disputes / chargebacks
If you file a chargeback before contacting us, your account is paused while we investigate with Razorpay. We've never lost a chargeback dispute on a legit order — please try us first, we'll usually resolve it in minutes.
